On September 2nd, immerse yourself in one of the most breathtaking and awe-inspiring displays of local creative talent and ingenuity as ART du JOUR presents The Live Gallery and Spring Parade – two events that will captivate and inspire you! Set against the glorious backdrop, the heritage Treacy Centre in Parkville, come down and experience what some of Melbourne’s finest artisans, creators, designers and performers have to offer, and lose yourself in a world of colour, light and mesmerising entertainment.
Bring the kids along to The Live Gallery from 10am – 3pm, a free event where you can meet and be inspired by some of Melbourne’s finest artisans. Get an interactive insight into the fascinating worlds of Fashion and Art as they are expressed through the creative endeavours of local and international artists, including illustrator Kerry Bolwell, artist Belle Gualtier and awe-inspiring display from Ireland-based visual artist Rachel McBride. The unique nature of Rachel’s work practise and her resulting artistic displays really must be seen to be believed! Mums and Dads, haven’t you always wanted to get your little star in front of the camera? All kids are invited to experience a rare and exciting opportunity as Ikonic Kids agency team up with Madeleine Chiller Photography to host a free kid’s photo shoot! Think you may even have that ‘something special’ it takes to craft a modelling career for yourself? Learn all the inns-and-out of the fashion and modelling industry from the professional team at KEAT Management Modelling Academy– and who knows, you might even find yourself snapped up by KEAT as they recruit fresh new talent on the day!
As the shadow of darkness closes the day’s events, prepare yourself for an evening program presented by ART du JOUR that is set to redefine your idea of everything that a ‘Fashion Parade’ is! Commencing at 7pm at the Treacy Centre, be marvelled by The Spring Parade – a show like no other, where Fashion and Art are exhibited against the most elegant setting. Grab a drink on arrival, and relax into the night with live entertainment by Tristan Manas and Stephanie H from Project628. Feast your eyes on the colour and movement as models from KEAT Management take to catwalk in designs by Leiela Ladies Evening Wear and Studio 941, with exquisite Swarovski handmade creations by Andrea Agosta Designer Jewellery and shoes by Lana Volkov. Be inspired to freshen up your personal style with tips and displays from Emmanuel Ammo, Shula Ann Keyte, Melissa Richards Millinery and Styled by Ramzy. Surrender your tastebuds to the irresistible pastel treats supplied by My Macaron, and allow the sweet scents from an enchanted garden created by Floriography to linger around you throughout the evening. After an adorable show opening from Ikonic Kids, wander through to The Live Gallery at your own leisure, and mingle with the local artists and creative, dedicated souls who have contributed to making the night of fashion, creativity and ingenuity one to be remembered!
