I was recently on set for the studio10 red carpet coverage of the 89th Oscar awards this week, along with Brand & style authority Henry Weinreich Roth and the studio10 fashion panel Jo Casamento and Susie Elelman. The day followed the latest fashion trends from the custom dresses to the glitzy gowns!

The Oscars are the big one. The night… Of…. All… Nights. There has already been roughly one million award ceremonies in 2017 (don’t quote me on that) so when it comes to the fashion. It’s time to bring your A-Game ladies.

On set, it was expected that colour would be making a huge comeback this year along with the expected political statements. These predictions reigned true on the night as beyond pops of colour, were more noticeably a sea of blue ribbons that marked the protest of President Trump’s immigration policy.

The Glitz. The Glam. The Bling. The red carpet had it all!

The top picks for the night are…

Emma Stone looked amazing in this gold embroidery and tiered draping Givenchy frock

Kristen Dunst was OMG! in this classical gown by Dior.

Ruth “Who said you can’t wear red on the red carpet?” Negga looked stunning in this custom Valentino dress.

Isabelle Huppert’s floor-length Armani Privé gown, black nails with red lip is absolutely timeless. Timeless people!

So Who Is Our Top Fashion Pick For the 2017 Oscar Awards?

Biel, Jessica Biel. She held such a stunning stance in what was a powerful floor-length frock. Paired with retro-design-inspired Tiffany & Co. jewellery. Her platinum gold and diamond necklace oozed power like an Egyptian goddess. Or maybe an Oscar award itself?

And yes. It does help when you have the luxury of accessorising with Justin Timberlake!

With so many predictions in play, perhaps my own prediction of fashion for the future was best of all.
Below is my entry at the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, back in 2013, as part of ART du JOUR by Leiela.

It was a truly amazing day at Studio10 and such a privilege to join a team of fashion industry leaders to discuss the hit’s and misses of the evening. Not to mention hanging out with the lovely Studio10 presenters Ita Buttrose, Joe Hildebrand, Sarah Harris, Jessica Rowe and Georgia Love on the couch.
