Leiela gowns hit the red carpet last week at the opening night of stage production Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical in Sydney. Stunning stage performer Amanda Harrison, best known for her role of green witch Elphaba in Wicked, attended the premier wearing the gorgeous Leiela Harlow gown, and loved every minute of the show and glitzy opening night party.
“Matilda the musical was an absolute delight! I loved every minute,” says Amanda. “It was a beautiful, funny and touching musical and I highly recommend seeing it in Sydney at the Lyric.”
Playing Elphaba alongside Lucy Durak in the hugely successful Wicked, Amanda is regularly seen in Leiela gowns, not only for glamorous red carpet appearances and gala events, but onstage as well. Her performance credits span the UK,
USA and Australia, and she was awarded the Helpmann Award in 2004 for her portrayal of Liza in The Boy From OZ. She has graced the stage in Leiela gowns at Do you hear the People Sing? (Taipei), and Carols by Candlelight.

Amanda is both an extraordinarily talented stage performer and mother.

“I wore the amazing dress from Leiela and got so many compliments on the night. Actually I was having dinner the next evening and was approached by a complete stranger who saw the photos on Facebook and told me how beautiful I looked!!! Being a stage performer is not always a glamorous life, but it is when you get to wear amazing Leiela frocks to Opening Night parties!!!” – Amanda Harrison
